What is a Ceramic Coating?

A Ceramic Coating is a chemical mixture consisting of silicon dioxide (SiO2) and other oxides like titanium dioxide (TiO2) and sometimes zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) that bonds to your car’s paint to add a layer of protection against the elements. Think of it like liquid glasslike layer of protection

**What are the benefits of getting a Ceramic Coating?**

There are a few reasons to have a Ceramic Coating installed, one of the best reasons is for the protection that a Ceramic coating provides to your vehicle’s paint. Once installed a Ceramic Coating protects against Metal / Iron fallout common in and around cities, Bird droppings, Bug Guts / Droppings, Acid Rain, high mineral content in harsh water, and salt and minerals often in the air in coastal regions, as well as road salts and road grime. Among the other reasons is the increased glass like glossy reflection. as well as the increased ease of cleaning.

**What’s included in the process of a Ceramic Coating?**

Our process of installing a Ceramic Coating involves a full scale exterior detail to fully decontaminate the paint. Once fully washed, decontaminated, and prepped for correction, we will perform either a single step polish or a 2-step polish. Once completed with the paint correction to remove any defects, scratches, or swirls in the paint, we will do a final prep for the Ceramic Coating. When this is complete, we start with the application of our Ceramic Coating. After the Ceramic Coating is installed we perform a final inspection of the vehicle to ensure there are no high spots, missed spots, or smudges, or debris under the coating before returning it back to the owner. Due to the level of quality and safety that we operate with, a typical Ceramic Installation will take between 9 - 12 Hours.
